Otto

Otto (Unraced, 3 years old) is a deeply sensitive soul, who is incredibly affectionate but also initially quite shy and introverted.

Once Otto is comfortable with people (and new situations) he is polite, social and engaging. He is also one of the most intelligent greyhounds we have ever met, he loves enrichment activities, playtime, walks which he does happily with exceptional lead manners alone or with his foster family’s hounds. He recently attended a group walk and was happily the centre of attention at a very busy cafe after the walk and behaved impeccably.

Otto is crate trained and will happily take himself off to it when he wants. He is incredibly obedient, his recall around the home and garden is well established, he keeps his crate and bed neat and clean and does love his two teddies at bedtime and these will most definitely be going with him to his forever home. Otto tries his very best to be a 10/10 best boy and absolutely thrives on verbal praise and a cheeky piece of cheese wouldn’t go astray either.

His manners about his foster home are great and he has settled well into the existing routine, he is very much a follower not a leader.

Otto would love an experienced greyhound home, who understands their quirks. A confident, calm female dog of similar size, energy levels would be great as Otto really does enjoy the company of a doggo companion.

He enjoys the company of the fosters teenage kids. We think he would like it if there were kids 10+ who are respectful of him. If there was someone home at least part of the day, that would be ideal. When Otto is settled and happy, his people are his kryptonite - he loves them and with his massive heart will return your love a thousand fold.

As awesome as Otto is, he is NOT suited to a home with cats.
